Welcome to November, hope you all remembered to turn you clocks back. Can you believe Christmas is only 54 days away?!
There is a new section on the site - a legal disclaimer. Suffice to say that it has to be there and leave it at that - I encourage you all to ignore the f*****g thing.
The newsletter is about half the size of last months, but considering the mammoth size of last months that is not so bad. The Reunion Committee will meet again in another week. So far there have been 125$ in pledges to create a war chest for the reunion. The address to send donations to is:

Anything you want to change or add will be taken care of simply by e-mailing me. Please those of you with siblings and friends who attended RVRHS where there is no information yet entered to please provide some information for the site. Year after year the same last names repeat over and over again and yet there is no info on
the site about them.

Susan Hobbs (Class of 77)
Susan died of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1995 at age 35.
After RVRHS, she went to Williams College in Massachusetts for four years, was editor of the college paper, and got her B.A. in Art History. After Williams, she went into the Peace Corps in Fiji, teaching math. She also produced the first English-Fiji Hindi / Fiji Hindi-English dictionary.
She met Randall Baker in Fiji, and when she got out of the Peace Corps, she followed Randall to Bloomington Indiana, where he is a professor. Susan and Randall got married in 1989 or 1990. Susan worked as an editor with the Indiana University publications office. In 1993, they started the process of adoption of a 13 year-old Russian boy, whose late father had known Randall. Eldar's adoption became final in 1994, just before Susan was diagnosed with cancer.
She had an aggressive form, and tried many different treatment options. We all thought there was a good chance she could beat the cancer, up until shortly before she died. The cancer was just too stubborn. It was just under 1 year from when she was diagnosed until she died.

Lives in Beloeil, Quebec married with one child. Eric works with computers and is rumored to still be active in theatre.

Cathy married in August 1999 and moved to the Bahamas.
Heather Coleman (Class of 77)
Heather is married and has two children, one boy and one girl.

Lives in Ottawa, On, and works as a headhunter/job placement agent.

Went to Bishops, played for the Gators. Now lives in Vancouver and works for Pitney Bowes.
Kerry Green (Class of 75)
Lives in Ottawa and works as a teacher. She is married and has one girl and one more on the way.

Works for Domtar, is married and has two children, one boy and one girl.
Matthey, Bob (Class of 81)
Bob lived and taught in Saskatchewan for a while then moved back to the Montreal area. Presently lives in Longeuil, Qc, and is a school principle/teacher in St.Bruno, Qc.

May moved to Toronto with the Zellers head office move from Montreal a few years back.

Bonnie Dunn (Class of 87)
Bonnie is a girls Phys Ed teacher at Centennial Regional High School. She no longer runs marathons but is still an active runner.

Valerie Simoneau (would have been Class of 85)
I left RVR in 1984 to graduate at a high school in Montreal, went on to Brebeuf for Cegep and Concordia for an honours degree in biology funded by the department of national defense (ROTP). Graduated and went to Winnipeg to learn to be air navigator with the military and was subsequently posted to Victoria, B.C. after training on the venerable (read old and creaky) Sea King helicopter. Went to sea for eight months and had my fill of card playing so I opted to take the money and run when they offered a buyout. I moved to Halifax with my husband Peter and proceeded to return to the academic environment. Spent a year studying diseases and the immune system and joined a lab doing research on cancer. Spent two years in a masters program only to find that I wanted to run the lab, not work in it...oh well. I'm now in my second year of law school and spent the last summer working at a local law firm and I'm having a great time. I've found my home, my niche. Essentially the skies opened up and a light shone down.... O.K. that's a little overdone, but you get the general idea. I have a year and a half left and then I article, though I haven't figured out where yet. My hubby, Peter is an Air Navigator on Sea Kings and my stepson Ryan (13yr) is a Star Wars addict who hopes to become a computer animator some day.

Had a blast raising a now 10 year old wonder-kid who lives with his Mom in Vancouver. Hope to possibly move out that way some day...Really enjoy getting back home to St. Hilaire to see the folks and visit friends. Hope to be able to make it to the reunion; see ya there!

I am proud to be a full-time Mom right now, although my husband and I have a home-based business as well.

I am currently living in Ile Perrot and have been for the last 13 years. I married Ronald Hamilton (class of 74) and we have 2 beautiful children Jennifer 18 and Darnel 13. And thanks to my beautiful little sister Sherry Fox, I am able to live a better life...she donated a kidney to me on Oct 4 1999. The transplant so far is a success.

It's been 14 years since I even set foot in RVRHS.
I have lost contact with almost everybody from my class....Anyways, I married a girl who went to RVRHS, but graduated elsewhere. Her name is Kelly Doyle. I am currently living in Brampton Ontario with my two sons, Sean Randall who is four and James Scott who is two. Two of my sisters in law graduated from RVRHS...Susan Doyle (Brampton) and Elaine Doyle (Montreal).

She's now married Marc Lavigne, Class of '77. She is a childcare worker and they live in Ottawa. They have no children together but Marc has 2 children from a previous marriage.

Last I heard she was living on the south shore with her boyfriend Paul. They have a son together who would now be about 11 years old. He is a special needs child so she spends her time caring for him.

Daniel Rheaume (Class of 79)
Lives in St-Bruno with his beautiful wife Julie. They have 3 children Alec, Isabelle and Patrick. Daniel works at the Chambly golf course as a groundskeeper. He's an avid golfer and when not taking care of the children in the winter months - he likes to do a lot of reading.
Christine Rourke (Class of 79)
Christine is living in Ste-Julie with her husband Geoff Law (class of '77) and their 2 kids one boy (7 years old - Lana Lavigne Class of 79 is his Godmother) and one girl (4 years old). She has been working for the T.D. bank for over 15 years now.

I am currently living in Otterburn Park with my husband of two and half years Steve Marzell. We have no children yet, but will begin trying in the near future. For now we keep busy with our cat (Mojo) and our new dog (Jake). I work for Le Chateau Stores of Canada in office administration. In my spare time I sing in a band (quartet) with some other RVR alumni's David Wood, Laurence Corman and Tom Bissiger. Hopefully in the New Year we will be able to do some shows and I'll be able to get reacquainted with some old friends. I also recently donated my kidney to my sister Rhonda (Class of '80) and it was a great success. Sister and kidney are doing well. Recuperation is slow but things should get back to normal by Y2K. Karin Brugmans (Class of 81)
I went to Notre Dame Secretarial (the Mother House) and left with honours. I worked at an advertising agency for a while (lot of fun, but the pay was poor) and then worked awhile at Pratt & Whitney. I married Pierre Jodoin, an apple and juice producer (he and his two brothers make and sell Tradition Juices), and had four girls. Christina (11), Sabrina (almost 10), Ericka (8) and Melissa (6). We've been happily married for almost 13 years. I am now an at home mom, but help out a lot (especially during the harvest) at my husband's company (Vergers Paul Jodoin).
