RVRHS Alumni March 99 Newsletter

Well hello again, looks like spring is springing despite the occasional snowfall. Meredith Ewart was kind enough to prepare and forward the class lists from 1985-1989 inclusive and after a little reordering and htmling they are now up, though woefully lacking in entries. This leaves the site missing class lists from 1971, 72, 73, 83, 84 and from 1990 onward. Slow but sure.

As always I remind everyone - if you want to get an invitation to the big reunion in Y2K you have to send your snail mail address to Frances Howe McKechnie at AMckech563 AT aol.com . That is the only way to get an invite.

I have been reduced from begging to pleading for additional class lists and photos to add to the site. Some times a photo helps to jog the memory so think about it. Any info or photos you want to forward you can either e-mail to me or send snail mail to:

Alain Monney (Class of 81)

After graduation I worked for a year in the family business after which I was accepted at Champlain College in human sciences. Mid-way through college I decided to go live in Switzerland for a year. I worked there and also did my military service. After that, I went to Germany for a while, then France, then Italy. Finally I found my way home back to Montreal where I finished my degree at Champlain. I then went back to work in the family business during the day and went to Concordia at night in psychology. Transferred to McGill and finally to Carleton U in 1990. In 1990 I worked for Cognos here in Ottawa where I've been living since. Currently, I'm working as a computer analyst at university of Ottawa. I've been in and out of relationships and am currently out. Still searching for the right one. So that's that.

Peter Hutton Czapski (Class of 78)
Is a general practioner working up in New Liskard (sp?) On, though I believe right now he's in Australia for 6 months.

I live in Edmonton and am married with two daughters, aged 4 and three months. I work as a news reporter for the Edmonton Sun and currently run the court bureau. You can contact me at yakyak AT planet.eon.net and I look forward to hopefully seeing some of you at Reunion 2000. 

Rob Mitchell (Class of 80) - this was sent along by Rob's sister Beth: Rob is married (since 1991) to Eileen O'Donnell, living in Winnipeg, and owns his own video production house called Windmill Lane Productions. He just won a Gemini for his work for Man Alive. 

Beth Mitchell (now Pye) (Class of 77) also passed along this about herself: I am now a grade 8 teacher in Kingston, married to Robin who I met at U of T. Two kids, Brian 9 and Kristen 7. I'd love to hear from other 77ers (especially Dale Ashworth).

Lainy is presently living in the Peace Country, Alberta. She has been working in the oilpatch industry for l3 years. She is married and has two children, ages 20 and l9.


Gary Campbell
Graduated l970
Gary is presently living in Bragg Creek, Alberta. He owns his own floor covering company. He is married to his highschool sweetheart Barbara Cadman (who also graduated RVR l970). They have three children.


Gregory Leck (Class of ??) lives in Montreal and is a practicing attorney and talent agent. You can see one of his singers on the WWW at http://www.soniapapp.com

Barbara Craig (class of '83) lives in Milford, NS - works as a pediatric nurse at the IWK (children's hospital), and is currently expecting baby #4. 

Doug Craig (Class of ??) got his PhD in biochemistry, and is currently a professor at the University of Manitoba (or maybe it's the University of Winnipeg) He's married and the proud father of Alexandra, age 1.
