January 01 Newsletter
Happy New Year everyone, and welcome
to the first RVRHS newsletter of the new millennium. Christmas went well at
our house, now the process of paying for it begins :). With luck the site will
continue to grow this year as more and more people contribute.
Special thanks this month to Julie Maurice (Larose) Class of 93 for typing up
the class lists for 94, 95, 96 and 97 and sending them in. It made for a lot
of work but those classes have been added and I am looking forward to seeing
some information go up in them in the near future.

Holly Brown (Class of 77) is living in St. Andrews, NB. I hadn't been back to
RVR territory in years until we passed through Montreal on our way to Tremblant
last June. It was a Friday evening and I noticed an unusual number of stretch
limos. It was Grad night! Memories came flooding back. Was that really 23 years
ago? After RVR we moved to Germany where I graduated from high school two more
times (grade 12 and 13) and had a great time traveling around Europe. I went
to Dalhousie U in Halifax for four years and then worked and lived in all provinces
except Manitoba and Newfoundland before settling down in beautiful St. Andrews,
population 1500. I love it here. Every now and then I take the kids into the
city and show them what traffic looks like. I'd love to hear from old classmates
mailto:jorourke AT nb.sympatico.ca
and if in St. Andrews, stop by.
Mike Wallace (Class of 1977) - Mike transferred to Lemoyne D'Iberville to complete
Secondary V, but would have much preferred to graduate with the gang at RVR.
Did we all take French Immersion? I don't remember. It was amazing to see names
that I had completely forgotten for 20 years and also very sad to see the names
of those who have since left us. Upon graduating, I did a 4-year stint in the
Army, specializing in Airborne reconnaissance. Travelled Europe and most of
the States before returning to complete my CEGEP diploma in Pure & Applied
Sciences. Tried my hand at various things before finding my niche. I am now
a regional Distribution Manager for General Electric, after also managing the
Canadian distribution operation for Dunkin' Donuts.
I was very fortunate to find my kindred spirit...we married in 1987 and have
3 great kids (11, 7 and 5). and we relocated to Brantford, Ontario in June,
2000. I am truly enjoying the suburban family life that I always wanted. I would
appreciate any info on the whereabouts of Mike Lee (also class of 77). Please
feel free to drop me a line at MDWallace
AT aol.com.
Norman Dupuis (Class of 78) ndupuis

I left Quebec for Calgary in the fall of 1979 (unlike the former posting for
me which listed 1996). I am divorced with three great daughters, 17, 16 and
13, and visit Montreal occasionally to visit my Dad, sister and her family.
I manage the local branch of a air filter manufacturer. Life is good. Everybody
is welcome to drop me a line.

have two boys who will be 13 & 11 within the next few weeks. Life is good,
I really have no complaints!

we plan to travel to NZ, Australia, Bali, Singapore, HK, east coast Malaysia,
southern Thailand (where I taught undergraduates way back when), then on to

I live in Pointe-Claire. In 1995, I married Bill Potten (cousin to Greg Lawless,
also class of 84). I have 2 beautiful daughters (like their mom!). Melissa is
4 years old and Sarah is 2 years old. My husband and I travel a lot since he
works for Canadian Airlines (now Air Canada). I work for Electro Rent Corporation

It is wonderful to be able to read news on how everyone is doing after so many
years. I got married this summer (2000) to my boyfriend of 7 1/2 years. I have
2 stepchildren aged 17 and 19 and 2 chocolate labs. We have a house in St-Sauveur
yet we both work in Montreal. I love living outside of the city and if anyone
is in the neighbourhood, please feel free to call 450-227-9621. I would love
to hear from my old classmates and I think that a reunion would be a wonderful
idea and would definitely be present.
I am currently finishing up my studies to become a CA and will be writing the
UFE in September 2001. Wish me luck!

After Champlain, I moved to New Jersey in 1991 and got my Bachelor's in Sports

Thomas (RVR'90). I'm now living in Ann Arbor, Michigan (as a proud American)
and am the Assistant Director of Student Personnel for the Recreation/Intramurals
Department at Eastern Michigan University... I'm truly hoping that I didn't
miss our RVR 10-year reunion. We should get one together! Write me when you
can AT keith.fonseca AT emich.edu

to hear from everyone!

I've been working for Royal Trust in Montreal for two years now (after trying
out several other jobs). I live with my boyfriend in beautiful downtown Montreal
on Stanley St. near Dr.Penfield. I've managed to lose touch with almost everyone
from our class except Joey Agostinucci and I occasionally run into Nicole Jones.
I hope you're all happy and healthy! I still think of you guys (you know who
you are!) don't be shy, give me a shout! Take care!.
