I have lived in sunny Florida since 1979 (I never could get thawed out either
in Montreal or Toronto where I lived for 7 years). I have spent the last 20
years in finance working for Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida.
I completed my undergraduate BSc. degree in accounting at Florida Southern College,
and became a Florida Certified Public Accountant. I continued my education at
University of Central Florida and received my MBA. I often reflect that I have
more initials than sense or money but, oh well, I’m happy.

After studying at Dawson and Marionopolis, continued on to Carleton U. in Psychology.
Headed west to Vancouver Island for 3 years, a few sojourns to Europe. A five
year sentence in Toronto working as dental assistant, medical reception and
graduated from Humber College in cabinetmaking and continued at Sheridan in
the School of Craft & Design (primarily haunted the darkroom). Met my partner
Cam Gray with whom I have 3 wonderful children. Stayed at home in Perth for
the last 20 year to raise them, chickens, flowers and bake cookies. Meanwhile
studying Applies Kinesiology (10 yrs.) and now have moved to Ottawa with my
youngest, Marlen 14 while the older 2 travel in Europe together. I am a counseller/
facilitator in Body Talk and have a fledgling practise downtown. I have kept
up (vaguely) contact with Laurene Ratcliffe(who by the way has 2 girls and a
boy), Rod Syme, and Donna Le Blanc but otherwise have encountered no RVRHS inmates.
Interesting to see all the familiar names.
Rumour has it that Lucie Craft has been baking in the Eastern
Townships I met her husband at Community Choir in Perth. (4 kids)

Hi all. I pass the old school on a regular basis as I work for CN. Remember
squishin' coins on those tracks and errr doing other stuff in those ditches.
I have been married to Emmy Maten since 1979 and have two wonderful sons Tomas
(1990) and Peter (1994). After RVR I went on to CEGEP at Champlain and to McGill
after that where I studied Archaeology. We live in Lachine in an old house close
to the banks of the St.Lawerence river close to Montreal to enjoy it's cultural
bounty but far enough away to not have to listen to the bustle and bounce of
a Mega-opolis. As I mentioned I have worked the past 27 years for CN in electronics,
particularly in the Signal Dept. ( we install and maintain those crossings thingies
with the bells). Emmy has been a Dietitian working at The Montreal Diet Dispensary
for 25 yrs., and is currently working on becoming a breast feeding consultant.
Any and all that would like to say hi can do so at the following: Daytime, Ken.Fellows
@cn.ca any other times at switchman01@yahoo.com or stzanz@hotmail.com Emmy and
I would be happy to hear from the old crowd.
On a sad note , Jon Ormsby passed away last fall after a courageous battle with
cancer. He leaves a wife and two children. Also I was saddened by the passing
of JIm Martin. Jim and I have been neighbours on Lake Memphremagog for many
years. It will be sad to not see him puttering near the shore by his white cottage.Remember
now, stay off the railway tracks!!

It has been a long time since the good old days of RVRHS; however, my life has
been interesting to say the least with lots of great events.
Since leaving Montreal in 1977, I have lived in London (Ontario),
Australia, Toronto and finally settled down in beautiful Prince Edward County
for the past eight years with my lovely daughter after living a fairly exciting
life travelling North America.
I now own and operate two one-woman enterprises which keep me
hopping as I hate being idle; however, I would love to hear from old friends
who remember those good old days at RVR and learn what they have been doing
over the past thirty years.

Class of 74!!! Are you guys getting up there or what? Have lived in Ottawa area
since 76. Spent 20 years in communications at the federal Department of Finance
and then, given my immense knowledge of farming, moved a couple of years ago
to Agriculture Canada. Just coming off six months of French langage training
(should have paid greater to Mr. Asner it appears) Married to a wonderful women
and have two step-sons that I adore. Both play hockey and oldest would be trying
to sneak into the Bruno Lounge (now gone as I understand it) were we currently
living on the South Shore. I will pass on the opportunity to slag Gary (Coffin
I presume). Look forward to hearing from others (have interesting data about
farming in Canada to pass on).

Just an update. As the kids get older I'm spoiling myself more, enjoying some
workshop programs in Art and doing commissioned work with oils. Toronto is a
rat race but its home until the kids grow up and move on, then we'll retire
back in Montreal. I've heard from a few old friends, since my last posting,
Linne Jones 1977 and Andy Lamb who left our school before we all graduated in
78. Almost 28 years have passed us by now....since we all left RVR, life is
moving at the speed of sound. Take Care everyone.

Here is my readers digest version of the last 21 years.
Left RVR for Dawson College, did 1-year full time. Started working full time
for a driving chool, finished Dawson at night Moved to Toronto in '86 to work
as a Euro deposit broker for Tradition / Dominion Securitie. Transferred to
New York in '87, did a brief bit in Los Angeles for the same company. Started
a bachelors degree (computer scence) at night and moved back to Montreal. Worked
as network administrator for Hydro Québec, Noranda, Air Canada. Owned
my own computer service company in Magog for a while. I now manage simulator
installations for Adacel, an Australian basedsimulation company specializing

in 92, got divorced in 95. Met someone 6 moths later, still together. Moved
to Washington DC in 2002 and haven't missed the -30° winters yet!
It's amazing that our class of '82 can be spread out across the world and have
1 web site keep us together. Have been in contact with a few of you, would like
to hear from more of you.

A real reality check viewing this web site!!!!! This year will be our 20-year
reunion for the class of 1984; I guess George Orwell’s predictions were
pretty far off! Any news of a reunion in 2004?
In a nutshell, after RVR, like allot of us, I went to Champlain
then decided a year in town may be more fun and finished my DEC at Dawson in
1989. I then worked at CN in the pensions department for about 4 years as an
analyst. I had enough of the 9-5 and headed to the Bahamas and worked as a Golf
Pro at Club Med for several months :) however realized my liver could not take
it anymore!!
Moved back to Montreal for a about a year then headed to Vancouver.
After a few months in Vancouver decided to move onto beautiful Vancouver Island
where I worked as a director for a teen drop in center for the Military Family
Resource for about a year and a half.
Returned to Mtl in 1995 where I pursued my degree in physical
education at McGill and graduated in 1997. Taught for a short stint then was
offered an opportunity to move to Boston in early 1998 to be an account manager
and open up an office for an IT consulting firm based in Montreal. After the
2000 scare was over, the market went south and the firm closed it doors in the
US in late 2003.
I remain in Boston where I have started to work as an athletic
scout for the time being, seriously considering a move south to NC or VA to
get out of the snow and cold and to where a house does not cost half a million
US dollars!!!! Not married yet, (still fighting it) but tying the knot this
May, no kids yet, or none that I know off :) It was really nice to see what
allot of people are up to, time flies sooooo fast. Drop me an email, as it would
be great to hear from any of you kids. Dan

kids (5 and 9). After High School I worded as a claims adjustor for United Van
Lines for about 2 years, then me and my brother Benoit started our own company
in transportation of bulk products for the Ontario & Quebec regions. It
is a company that is getting bigger and stronger every year. It's great.
