Well after 5 years the mailing list just passed the 500 mark. Yahoo. It was
a long time coming - the more the merrier. After a year and a bit of Amazon
advertising on the site (trying to offset the $600 plus cost of running the
site) I can honestly say that advertising doesn't pay. Total commissions only
totalled 10$ after the year and considering Amazon's long term prospects I doubt
that I will live long enough to see any money come my way from that effort.
Now onto the meat of the newsletter.
I have a report that Richard Langton (Class of 89) was involved in a car crash
in 1990. I have a similar report that Chris Cockburn (Class of 89) was also
involved in a car crash in 1991. If anyone can verify this information prior
to it being posted on the site it would be appreciated.
Graham Pilon of St. Bruno, (Not an RVR grad but very involved with minor football
for the last 20 years in St. Bruno) wants to let people know that he is planning
a get together on Sept. 1 2001 weekend to celebrate the Anniversary of St. Bruno
Football. Drop St. Bruno Football a line if you are interested.

After RVR I attended Acadia University in NS for 3 yrs, graduated with BA Recreation
then worked for City of Toronto for 2 yrs. (where I shared digs with Jillian
Topham - where are you Jill?) I met husband Jim Colwell on a canoeing weekend
and within a year married and moved to Halifax, where he's from. I lost touch
with old friends, in part because my parents left St. Bruno in the head office
exodus to Upper Canada in '77. We have three super kids - Jordan 18, Trevor
16, and Megan 12. Jim is a naval architect / defense scientist here in Dartmouth,
Nova Scotia. I plugged away at an MBA part time while having babies and working
for City of Halifax, left work to spend time at home with Meg, and founded a
strategic management consulting firm in '93. I started a second business last
year that's even more fun than strategic planning (!), a canoe and kayak outfitting
business. See http://www.fourthwave.ca

you should email me - its time to reconnect!

AT telus.com
My name is Pierre Gosselin. In my days at RVR I went by my step father's last
name of Michel. This might explain why I would seem to have dropped off the
face of the earth. How does one encapsulate more than half a lifetime in a few
short words? My life thus far has been a great adventure with numerous rich
and challenging experiences. After RVR I went directly into the military for
3 years. While in the military I was posted to Cornwallis, Nova Scotia for basic
training; Borden and Kingston for military driver Ed and telecommunications
training respectively. I finally ending up in Calgary, sounded like an interesting
place. From here I served tours in Germany, the Great White North and a Peace
Keeping tour in Cyprus. Since then I have worn many hats from cabinet maker
to warehouse manager. I did go back to Montreal, NDG and St-Laurent (85-89)
before coming back to Calgary. I currently work as a Direct Marketing Specialist
for TELUS Mobility in Calgary. I was married for 5 years after leaving the military
and have an 18 year old daughter, Rebecca, who graduated high school last June
in the Class of 2000. WOW! Where does the time fly. I enjoy volunteering in
the many summer festivals in Calgary, photography (mostly outdoor/wildlife),
motoring around on my 1980 Yamaha XS1100 and trying to catch up on the ever-growing
pile of books which somehow follow me home. I have also enjoyed singing in choral
groups. I can be reached in Calgary via my work e-mail and look forward to hearing
from you.

went to university for the beer and the intramural hockey. Graduated three and
half years later with a Poli Sci degree. Couldn't figure out what to do after
graduation. I sold photocopiers (not many), worked in the mailroom at Electrolux
Canada until I wormed my way into the CBC. I've worked there since 1985....I
worked for Newswatch in Montreal as an associate producer. Then it was on to
St. John's Nfld as a sports reporter. I'm now the justice reporter here. I'm
married (eight years in December) and I have three daughters. Jennifer is seven,
Sarah six, and Kathryn two. I got all nostalgic looking at the pix of RVR...Yes

Hello to everyone that remembers me, and even those that don't. Great to read
where some of my old friends have ended up. I left Quebec in 1978 to move with
my family to Burlington, Ontario. Although I've moved around a few times, that
is where I live now. I work for the local cable company (Cogeco) as a service
technician and have been there WAY TOO LONG.. almost 12 years. 'Course I get
free cable, and a cheap high speed internet connection, so what more could I
want, right? I have been married for 8 years now, and it seems like there is
no escape. We have three wonderful kids.. Alden whom is 7, Jarret whom is 6,
and sweet 3 year old Chelsea whom I think is possessed sometimes. Life has been
pretty good, tho I'm no where near as rich as I had hoped to be. I've had a
few interesting jobs along the way (the Royal Canadian Navy being the most interesting).
But by far, having a family has proven to be the most rewarding experience of
my life. Anyone who remebers me, feel free to email.. I'd love to hear how things
have been for you over the past 20+ years (my gawd that's a long time ago!)

when I had Tiffany in '93 and then Nicholas in '95. Am now a stay-at-home Mom,
doing the domestic grind; i.e. chauffeur & volunteer. Still keep in touch with

I decided Health Science wasn't for me so I gave up my dream of becoming the

paper and we've been together for 12 years. After Champlain I graduated from

Public Works Canada, as a web developer. I've had an amazing past two years.
I'd love to know what everyone else is up to.
