RVRHS Alumni February 2/99 Newsletter

Well a big New Year's Hello to everyone. It has taken a long time to put together this most recent newsletter, but I have been a little busy - partly the Searchers site which is a not for profit website where you can post messages to people you are searching for at http://www.geekstreet.com/searchers  - and partly just with the business of trying to hustle a living out of the poorest performing economy in Canada.
On the upside there is tons of new info on different people and almost none of it was gathered by me -- I like it when that happens. I would like to implore all of you who are getting this who know of anyone who graduated or went to RVRHS to get in touch with me with some details, addresses, e-mail addresses or home pages of RVRHS Alumni. This means relatives as well as friends - many of you have brothers and sisters who went to RVRHS and can help update those records. Also remember that the reunion is coming up soon so be certain to contact Frances Howe at AMckech563 AT aol.com  with your address so you can be put on the contact list.

In 1983 I joined the navy and have been there since, I lived in Halifax, for the first 12 years but I'm presently posted to Quebec City. I am married and have 4 children. my e-mail is canpix AT excite.com

Someone told me that Cindy Russell Class of 80 was working on the X-Files -- anyone know more about this?


Judy Hines married a man named Simpson and moved to CT where Judy worked for a while as a claims adjuster for Traveler's Insurance. 

Ross Langevin sent in a letter mentioning that he had run into Owen Hines a few years ago in
Mississauga where he was working. Ross also said that Dr & Mrs. Hines had moved to Mississauga a report confirmed by Mr. Murry Down (former history teacher at RVRHS). Ross mentioned that he had also heard that Gordin Hines was living in Ottawa. If I can locate the Hines family the Kay's will also
probably be located. Any more information would be appreciated.

Dan Montgomery (Class of 79) is working for CAE in Dorval, Qc.

We know that Wayne Sykes (Class of 80) is living in Toronto, but what he is doing there is anyones guess :)

Bobby Heavyside (Class of 77) owns a colossal optics company that was the subject of a takeover bid a by B&L a few years ago.

Sharon Tardif still lives in Montreal, I recently saw her (through the windshield of my car) as I sat at a St.Urban street light.

Lawrence Huot (Class of 77) [in his own words]
Double Major Political Science and Labour Studies at York University 1993 (Ya that's right ..... it took a while). Work for Web Networks (Visit our site http://www.community.web.net  ). Married .... two girls (3 1/2 and 2) Living in Toronto.

Ron Osborn (Class of 77) lives in Baie D'Urfe and had three children.

Paul McAvoy (1978) last I heard was living in Halifax working for a large US Insurance company.

Dan Calderhead (1978) was in Vancouver also working for a Insurance Company.

Cameron Dawe (1978) living in the Eastern Townships working for a chemical filtration company .... still single.

Tina Rust (1977) married ?? children, living in Burlington Ontario

Hi class of '82! I've spent the past 16 years working in a variety of jobs from Diagnostic Pricing Coord., Proofreader, Landscaper, Truck Driver and Visual Artist. But now I've retired to the 24 hour a day job of being a mother to a 2 year old girl named Amanda and her 2 month old baby sister Anna Lee. I've been happily married since August of '96 to their Dad who's the bass player in the Charlie Major band. We live in our own house in Ottawa and all is well.
