RVRHS Alumni August 99 Newsletter

A little update on the reunion. Permission to hold the reunion at RVR (which is now a French School) has been secured by those who are doing the arranging - a thankless task for which I offer my thanks. Invitations have not been sent out yet and will not be sent out for a little while longer (exactly how long is not known) as the database is being reconfigured. The reunion will be held on Victoria Day weekend (May 20-22, 1999). For people into bird watching this is fortunate as Montreal's first ever bird festival will also be held on that weekend. For those of you considering returning to the Montreal area for the reunion try dropping by http://www.pagemontreal.qc.ca/meg/ for info on what is going on here these days. As always I remind everyone - if you want to get an invitation to the big reunion in Y2K you have to send your snail mail address to Frances Howe McKechnie at AMckech563 AT aol.com  . That is the only way to get an invite.

Ism still pleading for additional class lists and photos to add to the site. Some times a photo helps to jog the memory so think about it. Recent photo additions to the site are for my own entry in Class of 80, Mike Hobbs in Class of 80 and Nathalie Nault Class of 79. (or at least he was back in '93).

Vallery Gueguin was married to Genevieve and (at least a few years ago that is) owns a pet store in the Quebec City area

Peter Lawn is single and is a Mechanical Engineer working as an instructor at Concordia University in Montreal.

Simon Leonard (at least back in 93) works in a 'high end' fashon place in Montreal

Colin MacIntosh is rumored to live in the Toronto area

John Mense (again in 93) is single and working as an Electrical Engineer in Saudi Arabia

Paul Stevenson was married to Anne last summer, no kids, and living in Kingston, ON where he works as an audiologist (person who tests ears).

Jonathon Stockdale (again in 93) works with computers and lives in the Montreal area

Barb Craig (now Brown) (Class of 82) lives in Milford, NS. She was married to David in 1988 and they have 4 kids. Barb is a nurse and works on a pediatric ward in Halifax.

Pat Craig (now Prince) (Class of 79) lives in New Glasgow, NS. She was married in 1984 to David and has 3 kids. She is a physician and works in New Glasgow.

Paul Charrette (Class of 93) paurette AT champlaincollege.qc.ca  wrote to complain that I did not have the Class of 93 up and that there weren't enough current pictures up. I agree on both counts but can only work with the materials that I can locate.

John Adams (Class 1981)

After leaving RVR I received my Bachelors of Music degree in Performance and
played professionally for 10 years for various recording artists, A&M
Records ( even had a contract for Cirque De Soleil - yes that's right... I
could of ran off and joined the circus!!! I'm sure many of you are not
surprised!). After many years, the travel got to be a little much and oddly
enough I ended up in the computer industry. Today, I am National Sales
Director for a large computer firm. In one of life's small ironies, my job
is to travel extensively throughout North America giving
presentations...........the very reason I left music......go figure.

I lived in Montreal but just moved to Vimont in June 1999. I would love to
hear from anyone from the class of 1981. I have been bumping into many of
you all over the country, but they are still many I would like to find.
